The Executive has discussed your application for an exemption from the 50/50 development split rule, and we have decided to grant you a full exemption – you may bring your three teams to Nationals as is. It seems to us that this is in the interest of developing high-level debating across the country, since you are a province very new to debating that is certainly making an effort to spread the activity where you can.
However, we do strongly encourage you to work towards the 50/50 development target in the future. We are more than happy to brainstorm different ways of getting poorer schools involved with debating. In the meantime, please send in your registration forms for Nationals as soon as possible.
